Morning Warm-up Projects

1st period has a warm-up project where they work on their lab room(which is a class service project.) They are in charge of the technology areas of transportation, construction, and design. Here is a picture of a model helicopter project. One team of students are working on this. Another team of students is working with CO2 car equipment and materials. They will gather info on the cars and do model projects.

CAREER ACTIVITY!!

HELLO STUDENTS, Hope class is going well!
Here are some activities for all of my classes today (including manufacturing class)
HAVE YOU EVER EXPLORED POSSIBLE CAREERS? IF NOT THEN TODAY YOU WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO EXPLORE our country's Occupational Outlook Handbook . THIS GREAT WEB TOOL WAS MADE THROUGH THE USE OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
ITS FREE FOR EVERYONE TO USE!!! (I posted it on the blog so you would also be able to explore this good resource here and wherever you can access the Internet) Enjoy!!!

ACTIVITY #1
USE A BLANK SHEET OF NOTEBOOK PAPER TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:(Don't rip out the paper...or use pages from your design journal. You will need to put this paper in your binder after it has been checked)
1. What are your plans a job/occupation after high school? Are you working now, in high school, or on breaks, or in the summer time? If so, then you are gaining valuable work experience (Answer these questions in just a couple of sentences.)
2. What is your career path now in high school, have you chosen that career path? Will you continue to study after you graduate from high school? If yes, then where? (write a paragraph about your educational goals)
3. Do you have a career goal? If so what is that goal? If not then what type of technology or job field would you be interested in investing your time and energy if you had the chance? (Answer in complete sentences )
